Purposes: Skin-Conditioning Agent , Skin-Protecting Agent , Soothing
A white crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in various solvents. It used to be chiefly sourced via the nitrogen metabolism of mammals, but today it is produced mostly synthetically. It promotes healing of skin lesions and wounds, as well as promotes cell turnover. It is also thought to assist the skin in retaining moisture.
