Capryloyl Salicylic Acid (CSA) is a skin-conditioning agent that offers exfoliation properties to formulations. It is used in anti-aging, whitening, anti-acne and anti-wrinkle formulations. It can be obtained from the bark of willow trees. It's essentially salicylic acid but modified with fatty behavior (lipophilized). It additionally has corneolytic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anticomedonic properties.
