This extract comes from the entirety of the Hydrocotyl, Centella asiatica L., Apiaceae plant. It has been used traditionally for generations to help in the healing process of small wounds, burns and scratches. It's also used as an anti-inflammatory for eczema.
It is often included in products that are formulated to treat cellulite or striae. It is believed that the centellosides in the extract have an effect on the microcirculation and metabolism in cells of connective tissues.
