Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil is slightly different from Rosa Canina Fruit Oil. This oil is secreted from the seeds of the Rose, Rosa ribinosa L. It is most commonly sourced from the southern Andes in Chile. It is a nourishing and moisturizing oil rich in fatty acids, notably linoleic, linolenic, and oleic acids.
This particular oil contains trans-retinoic acid (tretinoin). It is the primary bioactive component of the oil and has many properties, including restorative, anti-wrinkle, anti-acne, and more.
One study found that the tretinoin content of rosehip seed oil depends on the extraction method. Our Rosehip seed oil is pure, cold-pressed, and sourced using fair trade practices.
